Biblical Voting

As I am writing this we have less than two weeks until we vote for our next President of the United States. The noise that surrounds us is deafening. I’m married to a political science major so it’s not unusual to hear multiple people on different stations at once. As I’m typing this the house is quite. Hubby is gone, the TV is off and so is the radio.I need to hear what the Lord is saying.

Don’t misunderstand me. I believe that we need to be an informed person. We are to be aware of the information that is or isn’t out there. I just know that God is in control.

The Lord has a peace that passes all understanding. Just as we need to vote, we need to rest in the arms of our Lord. In Matthew 11:28-30 says, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and loaded down with burdens and I will give you rest. Place my yoke on you and learn from me, because I am gentle and humble, and you will find rest for your souls, because my yoke is pleasant, and my burden is light.”

My confidence is in the word of God. My rest is in the word of God. My strength is in the word of God.

I’m not basing my decision when I vote on mans opinion but on what my God says. What does His word say? What does He say??
